Tigra was found as a kitten among the debris of a burned house. She survived by a miracle—burnt, frightened, and tiny. The volunteers at the "Ohana" animal shelter took her in, nursed her back to health, and gave her a chance for a new life. This is how her story began.
Wild at Heart
Much time has passed since then. Tigra grew up in the shelter, under the care of a ginger cat named Alf, who became something like a foster dad to her. He taught her to trust, share food, and accept affection. But part of her wild past remains in her heart forever. Tigra received her name for a reason. This cat has a strong character. She can be affectionate when in the mood, but generally prefers to keep her distance. She doesn't mince words with strangers: if she doesn't like something, she’ll swat with her paw and show who's in charge. She’s not a mean cat, just independent. And very smart. Mice, however, don't stand a chance with her, as Tigra is a fabulous hunter. She would be perfect for a farm, a plot of land, or a private home.
How to Help Tigra?
Consider giving her a Kitty Day or a Kitty Week—this will help the shelter care for her by providing food and maintaining comfortable conditions. And if you know a resourceful person with a property who respects animals, please tell them about Tigra. She needs not just an owner, but an ally.
