The situation in which Sultan found himself is quite typical for street cats. However, its typicality does not make it any less tragic. He was attacked by a pack of dogs and ended up alone against a whole gang. The dogs were chased away, but no one thought to help the little cat. Sultan was left on the street, right where he was abandoned. A full day would pass before a woman took him in, later seeking help from the animal shelter and, accordingly, the veterinary clinic. A lot of time passed and the injuries were serious, so everyone understood that while there might be a chance for survival, it was quite slim. Soon, Sultan surprised everyone with his character and resilience—he confidently began to recover and, after some time, he was transferred from the hospital to the shelter.

A Tough Guy with a Gentle Heart

At first, it wasn't easy; Sultan didn't trust people much and saw danger in everyone. He could display his character and swipe with his huge paw. But time passed, and now he is an incredibly affectionate cat! You can pick him up, but only for a short while; one must maintain some dignity! You can scratch him, pet him, even give him kisses. He approaches the shelter staff, asking for cuddles every time they come near. Yes, of course, echoes of the past have seeped into his memory; if Sultan senses danger, he may become upset, but such incidents are happening less frequently. We are confident that a warm and cozy home, as well as loving owners, will completely melt his heart. Sultan is still a magnificent big boy, a sight to behold! He knows exactly where he is, is litter trained, and uses a scratching post. He is available for adoption strictly under a contract for an apartment without free-roaming, but he can go into a family with children. The presence of other animals can be discussed.
