Four kittens were found in a box in the courtyard of an apartment building in Volgograd. They had simply been abandoned without their mother being allowed to feed them. The kittens were too young to eat on their own. One of them was named Stepan. He had been at the shelter since he was a baby.

From an early age, he loved to splash in the water. But a serious diagnosis changed Stepan's life. He was diagnosed with actinic dermatitis and skin cancer. Changing his name seemed like an attempt to hide from fate under a cloak of invisibility. So instead of "Vodolaz", it's Stepan, a charming and affectionate cat to the utmost. The more you pet him, the less he wants you to stop.
