Like many homeless pets, Madame Sausage has tasted the bitterness of street life. As a result, she still hasn't fully learned to trust people. People have poisoned her and other homeless cats by putting deadly poison in their food. Madame and her 14 unfortunate companions lived near a basement in makeshift shelters built by compassionate residents. They did their best to feed and care for the tail-wagging flock. However, there were malicious people who didn't like having them around. To save their lives, they were all sent to Lucy's Home.
Madame has never been the life of the party; she's wary of people and is now perfectly content with her own company. She lives separately from other spinal cord injured cats because she occasionally suffers from chronic bladder infections. When she's not feeling well, the other cats don't appreciate it. Here she's quiet and comfortable. She is in need of loving hands, a person who will accept her self-sufficient nature, her love and the right to be by her side. Ideally, she would find a home where she can live quietly and peacefully, without small children or other pets.
