In the heart of a frosty winter, Joys was freezing on the street, peeking into shop windows while standing on her hind legs, looking sadly inside at the warmth. Then, she made the most important choice of her life when she met a shelter worker and her family near the stores. Here's how it happened, as told by the girl: “We pulled up to the store, and before we even turned off the engine, we spotted a cat by the shop. Suddenly, she turned sharply and ran right under our car! The parking lot was completely full, but it seemed that fate pointed her direction. You know, as we got out of the car, we already knew we simply couldn’t leave her there. However, Joys didn’t immediately realize our good intentions, and for about 10 minutes, we circled around the car trying to coax the frightened cat. With great effort, we finally lured her in with food, caught her, and quickly hid her in our coats. She was cold as ice and so lightweight. As soon as she sensed the warmth, she calmed down and softly purred.” This little, unnoticeable purrer, with pain frozen in her eyes, would not have survived on the street. Now, all of that is behind her; the little girl has gained strength and dreams of a home.
A lovely lady with a kind heart
From her first days in the rescue center, it became clear that Joys is an incredibly affectionate little cat. It seems as though she can’t quite make up for all the warmth and love she missed while outdoors. Joys is absolutely up for daily hugs and strokes, showing that she urgently needs to be close and snuggle with a person. It’s impossible to resist! But Joys isn’t a “velcro cat”; after some time in your arms, she sets off to explore her surroundings. Curious and active, Joys isn’t afraid of other tails and interacts with them cautiously yet with interest. She’s very patient during all handling and grooming, which is quite rare among animals. You can easily see that she trusts people. Her time spent outside didn’t harden her. Joys has adapted well to training; she is litter-trained and enjoys her scratching post. Joys would perfectly fit into a family of responsible adults, possibly with older children. We can confidently say that you will be the center of Joys’ attention. She will likely also get along well with other animals.
