Meet Lis – a fluffy creature of the first snow colour. His appearance resembles that of a purebred dog, while his soul is as pure as that of a kitten. Lis ended up in the animal shelter in 2019, miraculously escaping the fate of becoming someone’s fur.
A Miraculous Rescue
Little Lisovski lived on a fur farm in Balashikha. He belongs to a rare breed, the Bakurian fox, artificially bred during Soviet times specifically for fur.
One kind girl visited the fur farm for work, and upon seeing the cages where the fox puppies were longing for freedom, she couldn't walk past. Mr. Lisovski’s paw reached out to her as if the little one was asking for salvation. She took him home and built a special enclosure on her balcony. It seemed that Lisovski would find his happiness there.
However, soon the sweet puppy turned into an adult fox. His natural instincts took over, and the boy began marking his territory, while the strong scent of his secretions made it impossible for Lisovski to stay in the apartment any longer. The girl then turned to the animal shelter for help.
The Shelter Favorite
The shelter owner, seeing this handsome boy, searched for a suitable home for him for a long time. She called reserves and private zoos, but all her efforts were in vain. Letting the little one go was not an option – he wouldn’t survive in the wild.
And so, Lisovski remained at the shelter, where he quickly became a beloved favorite and even made friends with other animals. This wonderful little guy likely thinks he’s a dog: he loves to run with the dogs and even knows how to walk on a leash. Cats tend to avoid Lisovski, while he is friendly and open towards them.
A Cheerful Little One
The first winter gifted Lis with a luxurious white coat, in which he happily jumps through the snowy drifts. The boy adores walks, chasing birds and squirrels. He also knows commands and is willing to do anything for chicken.
Lisovski is a completely tame little guy. He has run to the neighbors for treats six times, but always returned impeccably to the shelter. Now he wears an AirTag – a kind of safety talisman that prevents Lisovski from wandering off unattended.
