The animal shelter "Kotofey" saved Zvezdochka's life
Zvezdochka came into the hands of the shelter staff as a kitten. She was found with other kittens, and all of them were diagnosed with infections – a common issue for street animals. While Zvezdochka was successfully treated, she had to lose one eye as it could not be saved. Fortunately, such differences do not hinder cats at all: Zvezdochka navigates well, sees clearly, and does not require any special care.
Will a shelter cat trust humans?
It's all in our hands. Right now, Zvezdochka is still timid; she carries with her the mistrust from her street life and her reclusive mother cat. Zvezdochka may even hiss in an attempt to scare someone away. However, she is not aggressive and allows herself to be held, though she is understandably frightened by such lively introductions. She needs time to get accustomed to people and her surroundings, and then Zvezdochka will start to purr and be more open to interaction.
Let’s help Zvezdochka find a home
This cat would be a great match for someone who cannot spend 24/7 with an animal but would enjoy coming home to a grateful living being. Zvezdochka's adaptation is ongoing; she needs an understanding family, preferably without other pets and small children.
