An amazing story happened to this cat: she gave birth to a kitten in the hallway outside a stranger's apartment door on February 14th. They named the mother Valentina, and her newborn fluffy bundle of joy was named Valentinka.
Valentina is remarkably calm and affectionate. She easily makes contact with people and even trusts the shelter volunteers with her still-blind kitten. Perhaps she was once a domestic cat, but the discovery of a subcutaneous tick indicates that she wandered the streets for quite some time. Both the mother and her kitten will need special treatment and care.
