Uma was born in an underground shelter run by a woman. The animals there were not cared for, not spayed or neutered, and they continued to breed and suffer from starvation. Fortunately, rescue came and Uma was taken from there along with 35 other puppies. She was examined and treated at the new shelter. The most challenging and important task remained - finding a new home and a loving family.
Uma would make a great companion for an elderly person or a quiet couple. She can thrive in a home with older children, but she's not ready to be a plaything for young children.
