Sushka was found in a box in the stairwell—clean, well-cared-for, but with a broken spine. Everything pointed to the fact that she sustained her injury at home and was then cruelly thrown out. A long treatment helped her survive, but the injury remains: Sushka cannot feel her hind legs.
