Two newborn kittens were found in the entrance of an apartment building. Their exhausted mother cat was feeding the little ones with her last strength, and one of them was Shurik. This is how the entire cat family ended up at the animal shelter.

A cat that walks alone

The mother cat turned out to be friendly, but Shurik and his sister haven’t quite gotten used to humans. The kittens underwent socialization, but it didn’t seem to help. Shurik is a timid little boy who dislikes noise and sudden movements, prefers to keep his distance, and enjoys his proud solitude. He would thrive in a family that doesn't have overly clingy animals. Shurik has been diagnosed with coronavirus and needs treatment. He has mastered the litter box and scratching post like a pro. He is waiting for a owner he can learn to trust.
