Sharfik began her life in a basement, proud and completely wild. She ended up at the rescue center after a dog attack—she came in with deep wounds on her back and damaged hind legs. A month in the hospital allowed her condition to stabilize, while also introducing her to human care.

Tenderness that Overcomes Fear

With those she trusts, Sharfik reveals herself to be a gentle, affectionate, and very active little girl. However, her past has left its mark: she is panically afraid of dogs, wary of loud sounds, and uneasy around small children. With a calm child, she can find common ground, and with a quiet, non-aggressive dog, she can gradually adapt. Sharfik is a carrier of the feline leukemia virus, but this does not prevent her from being active and cheerful; she can only live with fellow cats who share the same diagnosis.
