Shanni came to the shelter after being abandoned on the street. Her previous owners had abandoned her as a puppy during the height of the pandemic, fearing she would infect them with the coronavirus. In a moment of human folly, she lost her home. She wandered hungry and abandoned until compassionate people picked her up and brought her to the shelter.
