Rukmini lived in an ordinary yard of an ordinary house. But the constant tense waiting worried and oppressed her. Would she be able to rest without fear today? Would she eat or spend the whole night listening to her empty stomach rumbling? What if someone unkind came by? She had heard of such things. On cold evenings, the girl watched through the windows and saw cats just like her. Only the lucky ones were on the other side of the glass - warm and cozy. All she could do was feel sad. Over time, Rukmini might have faded away like so many of her homeless friends, leaving no trace in anyone's heart. Nobody would remember her. But somehow, she caught the attention of a caring grandmother. And from that moment, Rukmini’s story at the "Shelter" began.
Ears Always Perked Up
Do you think it’s easy for an animal to forget its past? Not at all. Fear, anticipation of hurt, and the struggle against hunger and cold cannot simply escape from the heart and burst like a soap bubble. The animal is still on guard. She has realized that life has brought her a surprise. But Rukmini hasn’t been able to wag her tail and relax her ears just yet. She enjoys playing with her neighbors, loves interacting with them, and makes friends easily. Rukmini is curious about everything happening around her; her whiskers stretch towards all the mysteries and oddities. If a person approaches, she allows them to pet her fluffy fur. But then she politely pulls away: hey, a little is enough! A bit of time and patience is the key to winning this smart girl’s love. A happy cat will always bring joy to her owners. And she still longs to be happy on the other side of the glass.
The Goal - A Homely Life
Giving Rukmini the home she so desires is the best thing you can do. But a promotional package from you or a story on social media is also a great help! Any financial support is very important for the shelter. With it, they can treat Rukmini to nice bonuses, feed her well, or provide medical care if needed. Turn on the webcam, and you can see how Rukmini lives.
