These kittens (Rinat, Dilyara, and Aigul) were found near an entrance — they were scurrying underfoot and between car wheels, barely able to see anything. The scene at the animal shelter was heartbreaking: the little ones’ eyes were completely glued shut with crust. Volunteers had to spend hours soaking them in order to simply open their eyelids. Two of the kittens will need to have one eye surgically removed, and all of them have corneal opacities in their remaining eyes. Their vision is limited, and for some, it is almost non-existent.

Learning to Trust

For now, the kittens are a bit timid — when their cage is opened, they quickly rush to hide under a hammock, but they are not aggressive at all. They need time to realize that they are now safe. These little ones require patient owners who are ready to guide them in a world where the most important things are not sight, but the sound of footsteps, the tone of voice, and the warmth of hands.

How to Help the Kittens

You can support these kittens online and treat them to delicious Kitty Days — this way, you will help the shelter care for them.
