On a frosty winter day, volunteers found Fil hiding in a shed on the outskirts of the city. The cat was very frightened. He became one of the first inhabitants of the rescue center and still has not fully socialized. This is a lone cat who needs time and understanding to get used to people.
Can a "non-affectionate" cat be a good animal?
We believe the answer is yes, as there are no "bad" cats—just different ones. For example, Fil remains a timid little guy. Perhaps he became this way due to his street life, or maybe it changed because of human betrayal. Fil prefers to keep his distance from human attention, tends to slip away and hide, and can freeze in fear if picked up. However, he does not show aggression during medical procedures; he patiently endures everything. The staff at the rescue center believe that Fil would be suitable for a family with older children or calm animals if neither group expects him to play or seek attention in a pressing manner. Ideally, he needs people who can gradually help him gain trust and shorten the distance.
How can you help?
All the inhabitants of the rescue center love to treat themselves, and you can gift Fil some food through TeddyFood services. Choose Kitty Day, a portion of food, or other gifts, and don’t forget to check in on Fil through the live stream.
