An elderly lady brought a cat to the animal shelter during winter. It turned out that Matilda had been living in the yard of her home, but the cold weather was very tough on the cat with her short and smooth coat. The kind woman even cried while sharing this story and asking for help. Of course, the staff and volunteers at the shelter couldn’t send the woman back with the cat. So, Matilda stayed to settle into her new environment.

Strong and independent — that’s Matilda

This cat has a very direct gaze — she always looks people in the eyes and is ready to connect. However, she is not wild; she can come up for some affection and ask to be petted or played with. She would make an ideal companion for those who appreciate an independent character. Matilda could be rehomed to a family with other animals and older children.

The “Kind Hearts” animal shelter would be grateful for your support
