Lisa – a true cat mother
A cat with kittens was brought to a shelter for homeless animals. She gave birth to them on the street, right by the entrance of an apartment building. Fortunately, volunteers noticed the family. For a month and a half, Lisa cared for her kittens until they were ready for adoption. Then, their cat mother moved to the cat shelter “Domik.” She was sterilized and is now looking for a home. During her time in the shelter, the cat became a mother once more, but this time not to her own kittens, but to abandoned ones.
Why is she so unlucky?
Lisa is a very beautiful cat with fluffy ginger fur. How can one not notice such a beauty? People have noticed her, more than once! She was taken by potential adopters twice and returned both times. It seems patience was lacking for Lisa's adaptation. In those first days in a new place, she was quite out of sorts. She would hide in a corner and wouldn’t come out to eat, drink, or use the litter box. During our work with the Teddy Food project, we have encountered such stories more than once. We are sure that all this can be resolved if the animal is given time and their personal boundaries are respected. It seems that Lisa’s happy hour has yet to come.
A ray of hope will appear
Currently, Lisa lives in a separate cage with a cat named Aramis. Both of them have viral immunodeficiency, so they cannot interact with healthy animals. The illness is not dangerous for humans or dogs. With proper care, these cats can live long and happy lives. Ideally, we are searching for a home that will take this fluffy pair. Aramis is a real charmer and the life of the party, while Lisa, as a true girl, can be modest and a little capricious at times. Together, they make a very harmonious couple. The cats are calm, litter-trained, and used to a scratching post. They love to sleep and snuggle in each other’s embrace, so potential adopters need not worry about chaos and destruction.
Can you help Lisa and her friend find a home? Please share their story on social media or consider donating to cover advertising expenses. Lisa would also be grateful for food and fresh litter. To keep track of her fate, please add her page to your “favorites.”
