The little fighter Enzo arrived at the animal shelter on a terrifying stormy night. A kind person reported that a scared little boy was hiding in the entrance of her building. Thunder roared outside, and lightning flashed as the poor thing searched for safety. When the volunteers came to rescue him and opened the trunk of their vehicle, Enzo seemed to understand that help was at hand and jumped right into the carrier himself. Thus began his journey to salvation.

Tenderness Through Pain

The first examination revealed how hard his life had been. His entire body was frail and covered with ticks, and two hernias caused him such pain that the boy couldn't even go to the bathroom properly. Any touch to his back would trigger panic and a defensive reaction, as it caused excruciating pain. Even the veterinarians had to be incredibly careful. But despite all this suffering, Enzo always carried a huge amount of love within him. He is an incredibly grateful, affectionate, and sociable little boy. He gets along well with other animals, but life with small children wouldn’t suit him — his back needs rest and special care to avoid causing him discomfort.
