Belka came to the animal shelter seriously injured, having lost an eye due to a gunshot and with numerous cut wounds. She has survived surgeries, received treatment, and has become a beautiful girl once more. While she is safe in the shelter, this little dog desperately needs her "own" person and believes she will find them.
With sunshine in her soul
Belka is already a grown girl. She is very emotional, affectionate, and sociable. Her lighthearted and joyful nature keeps her from feeling down. Unlike many who lose trust in people after experiencing pain and cruelty, Belka still believes in humanity and enjoys any attention she receives. While she is not very large, she tends to dominate other dogs in her company. Well-behaved, she walks only on a leash. Belka is missing one eye, but that doesn’t stop her from looking at the world with joy. She does have some allergies, so she requires special food. Belka will brighten the life of any family, becoming a companion for children and a friend to other dogs. The only requirement is that there shouldn’t be any cats nearby, as she is quite fond of avoiding them.
How to support Belka?
Treat Belka on Doggy Day and Doggy Weekdays, and her bowl will be filled with the food she needs. If you share her story with your online friends and give her some exposure, we will set her up to find a loving family for this precious girl.
