In the shelter basement, volunteers found some frozen newborn kittens in critical condition. To save their lives, the volunteers urgently started looking for a nursing mother cat. Their salvation was discovered on the street, where they found Smoky, a kind but a slightly timid cat who was nursing her own kittens. Smoky lived in a troubled area where animals were poorly fed, but she immediately accepted the little ones and began nursing them as well. Now, she and her kittens live in the shelter, where she is learning to trust people.
