For instance, they sometimes end up in old, dilapidated houses. Ksyuta was found by a volunteer in just such a building, nestled among the debris. Most likely, the cat stumbled upon the old house by chance while searching for a place to escape from the oncoming cold.

Now Ksyuta is gradually putting on weight and getting used to people. She is still very shy, even timid. This is evident in her photos—her little face carries a wary expression. But Ksyuta, like all the animals in shelters, dreams of finding a real home that won’t be torn down, a place where she won’t be chased away.
